One of the most meaningful ways we “give back” is by providing support for the community.

This fall, GreenLight Women is partnering with City of Hope and the Cancer Support Community LA Junior Board to raise money for City of Hope’s fight against cancer, diabetes and COVID-19 with the upcoming virtual Celebrity Sale for Hope from October 12-19, 2020.  People will have the opportunity at the virtual garage sale to buy treasures donated by celebrities. Stay tuned for more details.

We also provide support for older women struggling with financial, professional or personal issues.  We’ve donated clothes, annually, to Dress for Success and the Downtown Women’s Shelter. With their help, women unable to afford a suit or jacket, handbag, briefcase or shoes for professional appointments are able to compete in the marketplace.  Last year, GreenLight Women donated 25 Hefty bags of clothes and accessories.

Greenlight Women supports the Alexandria House, a transitional housing shelter for women and children.  During April 2020, we raised money to provide a healthy meal for the families and GreenLight Women members contributed home-baked goods.

We are an important resource for the Motion Picture and Television Fund’s Daily Call Sheet program, helping senior citizens fight the sense of isolation from losing loved ones and bringing them a sense of community.
