BEVERLY BOND is a producer, author, DJ, cultural curator, entrepreneur, thought leader and the founder and CEO of women’s empowerment organization BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Bond has blazed trails in music, entertainment, and social justice. As a DJ, she has brought her versatile talents to some of the most prestigious events and to a myriad of celebrity clients including Alicia Keys, Erykah Badu, Michael Jordan, Prince, Jay Z, Sarah Jessica Parker, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Derrick Jeter, Martha Stewart, President Barack Obama, Vice President Kamala Harris, President Joe Biden, and more.

In 2006, Bond expanded her focus beyond the turntables and founded BLACK GIRLS ROCK! and created the annual BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Awards to celebrate the excellence and dynamic accomplishments of Black women across sectors. In 2010, in the shows fifth year, Bond took the BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Awards to television which garnered over 2.7 million on its television debut on BET. In 2018, Bond released her first book published by Simon & Schuster titled BLACK GIRLS ROCK!: Owning Our Magic, Rocking Our Truth. The book features over 40 powerhouse women including Michelle Obama, Rihanna, Regina King, Tracee Ellis Ross, Mara Brock Akil, Solange Knowles, Angela Davis, Mary J. Blige, Yara Shahidi and many more. In 2018 Bond also launched BGR!FEST, a vibrant music, tech and arts festival in Washington D.C. In 2020, Mayor Muriel Bowser presented Bond with a proclamation declaring March 6 as BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Day in DC. Bond also created BLACK GIRLS LEAD a non- profit global leadership program for teen girls, which is now in it’s tenth year.

Beverly Bond has earned a number of prestigious recognitions including ten NAACP Image Award nominations and four NAACP Image Awards. She also received three Gracie Awards, four Root 100 Awards and has been listed on EBONY Magazine’s Power 100 list of “Most Influential Blacks In America,” for four consecutive years. Bond was given the “Key to the City” and celebrated with her own “Beverly Bond Day” in Rochester, New York by Mayor Lovely Ann Warren. In 2021, Bond’ celebrated the 15th-year anniversary of BLACK GIRLS ROCK! by launching the BGR!TV Network, an OTT content and streaming platform catering to women of color. Beverly Bond has created a paradigm shift in culture and has crafted a winning blueprint for women’s empowerment that stretches far beyond ordinary boundaries.
