Helene Shaw is a film and TV producer in Los Angeles, California. She started her entertainment career as a talent agent with the Harry Ufland Agency, representing talent, directors and writers. The Ufland Agency’s client roster at the time included some of the biggest names in the business, including Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, Martin Scorsese, Robert De Niro, Adrian Lyne and Rebecca De Mornay. Shaw was involved in the financing of many prominent films; some of those films are King of Comedy, the original Blade Runner, and They All Laughed.
Shaw managed legendary comedian Paul Mooney for 25 years, producing two stand-up specials for Showtime and a 30-episode series for BET, starring Paul Mooney. Recognizing the industry lack of female roles and content, Shaw produced four one-act plays for the John Ruskin Theatre with storylines and narrative about women in their fifties and sixties. She is currently developing several television shows, plays and films.
