Shannon Gaulding

Shannon Gaulding is a seasoned entertainment executive with twenty-three years of experience in development, production and acquisitions. During those twenty-three years, she has worked on properties which have generated over $4 billion in worldwide box office. 

Most recently working as a producer with Groundswell Productions, Shannon is overseeing all development of both television and film, with projects at Apple, FX, Participant Studios and MGM. Prior to that Shannon was a producer with Hollywood Gang Productions working with directors such as Andy Muschietti, Zack Snyder, Mel Gibson and Jose Padilha. She produced THE DOMESTICS for MGM and executive produced three seasons of STARTUP, starring Martin Freeman and Ron Perlman for Sony/Amazon. She has deep relationships across the major talent agencies and management companies as well as theatrical studios and television buyers. 

Before becoming a producer, Shannon was on-set Production Executive for IMMORTALS, starring Henry Cavill, as well as an Executive Producer of SAFE HAVEN, directed by Lasse Hallstrom and based on the novel by best-selling author Nicholas Sparks. A senior executive at Relativity Media for two years, Shannon was hands on in Acquisitions, working on HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET starring Jennifer Lawrence and the Navy SEALs’ surprise hit ACT OF VALOR. 

Prior to Relativity, Shannon was Senior Vice President of Screen Gems. While there, she oversaw Nicholas Sparks’ DEAR JOHN, directed by Lasse Hallstrom. DEAR JOHN grossed over $115M in world-wide box office. As Vice President of Columbia Pictures from 1999 until 2008, Shannon was the Production Executive on SPIDER-MAN I, SPIDER-MAN II and the Executive in Charge of Production on SPIDER-MAN III, all directed by Sam Raimi. As well, she was the Executive in Charge of Production on Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis’ MONSTER HOUSE; the genre hit THE GRUDGE and GRUDGE II; STRANGER THAN FICTION with Will Ferrell and 30 DAYS OF NIGHT. In her years at Columbia, she worked on pictures such as S.W.A.T, SOMETHING’S GOTTA GIVE starring Jack Nicholson, ZORRO II and THE SWEETEST THING with Cameron Diaz. 

Shannon got her start in the entertainment industry through the music business, working extensively in music video production with artists such as The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Van Halen and Guns-N-Roses.
